Joey's weekly tangle challenge#59

Joey's challenge this week was to tangle Mumsy.
Mumsy is a tangle pattern by Sandy Steen Bartholomew.

I am quoting Joey here
"Coming up with this week's challenge
was a bit of a head scratcher for me.

I'm sure that some of you know today is
"Star Wars Day"
aka:  "May the fourth be with you Day".

My family are big Star Wars fans
but I suppose being a Mom
I was thinking of making this week's challenge about Mother's Day.
So I have come up with a compromise!
Mumsy drawn on black paper. The black paper will give us the feel of outer space with Mumsy in there too!

Have a wonderful May the 4th and
Mother's Day this week!".

I don't have black tiles so I tangled on white tile and filled in the empty space with black watercolor.
Here's my tile.

Diva's Weekly Challenge#216

This week Diva's Weekly Challenge#216 is  UMT(Use My Tangle) and tangle chosen is 'Brella.

'Brella is tangle pattern by Canadian CZT Bunny (Frances) Wright.

Diva says "I'm pretty excited to have the challenge fall on May the 4th.  For those of you who don't know (and those of you who do) May the 4th is also known as STAR WARS DAY!!!

TO BE CLEAR: the challenge is to use 'Brella in your tile. If you'd like to add a Star Wars flair, that's totally up to you."

I know zilch about 'Star wars' series so I left out the Star wars part of challenge.

The weather forecast for Bangalore for this week is rain accompanied with thunderstorms. Perfect time to use 'Brella!!  That's what I tried to depict in my tile.
I used tangles 'Brella,Lightning, Rain and Widgets(that's to represent hailstones).

Here's my tile.

"That's New to Me!" Weekly Challenge#18

Our random letter for Challenge Week #18 is W,  our first repeat random letter.  You must use at least one New to Me pattern starting with the letter W. Suzy has decided to add a twist to the challenge when we have repeats.  So this week we will have to  use the random letter but we will also need to do an Artist Focus.  Along with the random letter we'll chose one pattern by that artist.

Artist Focus - Anne Marks
We had to use one pattern from Anne in our drawing.  She's probably better known as Precious Worker.  She's from Victoria, Australia, and has four patterns currently on TanglePatterns.com at http://tanglepatterns.com/tag/anne-marks

I chose Anne Marks’ Zentangle® pattern: Sunflower
I used below patterns for W:
CZT® Joyce Block’s Zentangle® pattern: Wheelz
Mei Hua Teng’s Zentangle® pattern: Window Grilles

Here's my tile
